endling

endling is a solo ttrpg about trying to survive as the last of your kind. with the open road ahead of you, there’s room for one special passenger—your pigeon, who just so happens to be the last of pigeonkind!

work with your pigeon and other survivors to make this lonely world a little more bearable. you may be the last, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying yourself!

using a standard deck of cards (including jokers) and a coin of any type, you will travel through this hostile environment in search of your final destination; what that destination is, and how you will reach it, is up to you.

while this game is intended for solo-play, it can very easily be modified for multiplayer! please be aware that the game will likely be shorter with multiple people taking turns—which might just be the perfect balance for you and your friends. experiment, and try out other methods of play that are fun for you!

this zine was made in 3 days for Sunday Zine Club #26 - thanks for giving me the motivation to make and share something!

read endling in the browser, or download for an offline experience! this was created to be a traditional 8-page zine, so feel free to print the 'zine' version of this game and fold it yourself! there's also a more traditional pdf version available, if you just want to download the pages.
